WHO ARE WE

EE Petroleum Refinery Company Limited (EEPR) proposing to build a 60,000 barrels per day (bpd) private Hydro-skimming Refinery and Gas Processing Plant. The facility is proposed to be developed in Ukanafon local government area within OPL235 On-shore, OML100 and OML102 off-shore in Akwa Ibom State Nigeria. EE Petroleum Refinery is fully indigenous company and was duly registered in 2020. With a proposed staff strength of about 55 skilled personnel manning the company’s operations, and an estimated 120 slated to join the company, the facility is proposed to be commissioned in 2nd quarter of 2025. EEPR is projected to produce about 3.2 million litres of refined products per day and 1000MT of processed Natural Gas. The refined product yields are estimated in various proportions as follows: Fuel Gas (5.6%), Gasoline (22.2%), Jet A (17.2%), Straight Run Diesel (25.3%) and Atmospheric Tower Bottoms (29.7%).

Nigeria is heavily dependent on imported refined fuel products due to lack of domestic refining capacity, and the country experiences perpetual shortages of supply due in part to poor configurations and inefficient operations of operational refineries, therefore EEPR has been strategically set up to help meet the glaring fuel demands of the nation, whilst also fulfilling its own corporate needs. In addition, to increasing the country’s refining capacity, EEPR is foreseen to generate foreign exchange through exports.
